Enabling integration and interaction for decentralized artificial intelligence in airline disruption management

Airline disruption management traditionally seeks to address three problem dimensions: aircraft scheduling, crew and passenger in that order. However, current efforts have, at most, only addressed the first two dimensions concurrently do not account for propagative effects uncertain scheduling outcomes one dimension can have on another dimension. In addition, existing approaches airline include human specialists who decide necessary corrective actions schedule disruptions day of operation. are limited their ability process copious amounts information imperative making robust decisions simultaneously all during management. Therefore, there is a need augment decision-making capabilities specialist with quantitative qualitative tools rationalize complex interactions amongst management, provide objective insights operations control center.
